Active Verb – ألْفِعْلُ ٱلْمَجْهُولُ

passive verb – ألْفِعْلُ ٱلْمَعْلُومُ

The subject of a passive verb is known in Arabic as نَائِبُ ٱلْفَاعِلِ. As the subject it takes the nominative case

أَلْأَفْعَالُ ٱلْمُعْتَلَّةُ

أَلْأَفْعَالُ ٱلْمُعْتَلَّةُ

(Weak Verbs)

Verbs which are considered weak in Arabic are those whose roots contain one or more weak radicals. The weak radicals in Arabic are the semivowels w and y. حُرُوفُ ٱلْعِلِّةِ

Assimilated verbs – أَلْفِعْلُ ٱلْمِثَالُ  – initial weak radicals

Hollow verb – أَلْفِعْلُ ٱلْأَجْوَفُ – middle weak radicals

Defective verb – أَلْفِعْلُ ٱلنَّاقِصُ – final weak radicals

Doubly and trebly weak verbs – أَلْفِعْلُ ٱللَّفِيفُ (Weak Verbs)
