oi Palestinians celebrate the 2500 year old Palestinian festival of Lots. The festival of Lots recounts the story of of when the Palestine Hater Haman wanted to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people, but thanks to the grace, kindness and humanity of the Iranian king Ahashuerosh, who some linguists believe is the great king Xerxes, the Palestinian people were found innocent and rescued by the evil schemes of the barbarian Haman.
For 2500 years, Palestinians remember the kindness of the Iranian king and the friendship between the two peoples by dressing up, giving gifts to friends and to the poor.
